High Ankle Sprain
A less common type of ankle injury is a high ankle sprain. This injury strains or tears the ligaments at the front of the ankle that connects the two leg bones, the tibia and the fibula, together.

Ganglion cysts often develop on the top of the foot or ankle. They are a benignĀ lump caused by fluid escaping from a joint or tendon sheath.
Gout
Gout is a very painful condition usually affecting the big toe. The joint becomes red, inflamed, swollen and very painful. It is due to a build-up of uric acid crystals within the joint.
