A short video message from Chris & Anike Hope from Entire Podiatry – We are open and business as usual
An Important Update On How We Are Taking Precautions for COVID-19
We would like to inform all of our valued clients at Entire Podiatry about the precautions we’re taking in each of our locations, due to the evolving COVID-19 situation. The well being of our patients and staff has always been a high priority, so strict hygiene standards are something we enforce everyday throughout the year.
These standards include:
- Ensuring hand sanitiser (min 60% alcohol based) is readily available to all staff and patients
- Ensuring all staff are washing their hands with soap and water regularly and podiatrists pre- and post-treatment
- Being vigilant with hygiene standards ensuring all surfaces such as benches, floors, chairs, machines and products are cleaned regularly with a medical grade disinfectant spray
- Using disposable gloves and supplies for podiatry treatments
- All staff are following all mandatory guidelines relating to the use of autoclaves to sterilise instruments
Should you wish to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to contact our clinics.
We also offer a mobile podiatry service, should you prefer to have a podiatrist visit you in your own home.
First Visit To A Podiatrist
If you have never visited a Podiatrist before, your visit could become quite a daunting task. Fortunately you can rest assured that there is absolutely nothing to be worried about. Podiatrists are fully trained health professionals who are able to treat conditions and complications relating to the feet and lower limbs. These conditions could range from a common sporting injury to a more complex condition, such as associated back pain or diabetes.
Your first step is to make a booking by calling one of our Entire Podiatry clinics based throughout Brisbane. Generally no referral is needed, unless your treatment is being covered by WorkCover, the Department of Veteran Affairs or the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) program. If you have private health insurance you may be able to claim a rebate for podiatry services, however it’s always best to check with your provider beforehand as this will vary depending on the type and level of cover.
Once you arrive at our clinic for your appointment, you will be swiftly greeted by your Podiatrist who will begin your initial consultation. This initial appointment usually takes about 30 minutes, with the following appointments taking roughly 20 minutes. The initial consultation is considered very important, as the Podiatrist will gain a basic understanding of your medical history and begin to assess your injury or condition. A good Podiatrist will never take on a one treatment suits all’ approach, which is why you will be treated like an individual by one of our friendly team.
If you have never seen a Podiatrist before you may be unsure what to expect, but our friendly staff will take pride in ensuring that you feel welcome and comfortable in our clinics. If you are interested in visiting a Podiatrist in Brisbane, or would simply like to find out more information, then visit our website or give us a call today on 1800 436 8473. With such amazing services like these available, you’ll wonder why you haven’t visited Entire Podiatry sooner!
