Adult Acquired Flat Foot Deformity
A foot that becomes progressively flatter with time is known as Adult Acquired Flatfoot Deformity. It is due to progressive weakness and failure of the tibialis posterior muscle. As this condition worsens the outside of the ankle can become painful as the anatomy in this part of the foot becomes compressed.
