General Back Pain
Back pain is a common complaint that is felt by many of us. Back pain can range from a mild discomfort or can be debilitating. There are many different causes of back pain. Back pain can be due to a muscle or ligament strain, compression or pinching of the nerves in the spine, or an issue with the bones that make up our spine, such as arthritis. Your back pain may be the result of muscle weakness, postural deficiencies or a leg length difference. If this is found to be the cause of your hip pain, your podiatrist may be able to help.
Sacroiliac Joint Pain
Sacroiliac joint pain can cause stiffness and pain in the lower back, pelvis or hips and can extend down to the thighs. The pain can range from mild to severe and may affect one or both hips.
Sciatica
Sciatica is a term used to describe compression of the sciatic nerve in our lower spine, which causes pain that radiates down the buttocks and legs.
